STEIFF 'The Three Wise Bears' White Tag 038372, Limited Edition, Alpaca Set

Steiff The Three Wise Bears 038372 is a charming limited-edition collector's piece inspired by the traditional Three Wise Monkeys: See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil.

Made in 2007 as a limited edition of just 1,500 pieces, this beautifully presented set features three adorable Steiff bears, each captured in one of the three classic poses. The bears are mounted together on a substantial dark wooden base, creating a wonderful display piece with plenty of character, with a Steiff metal plaque mounted to the front.

Each of these beautiful looking bears measures approximately 12 cm (4¾ inches) tall and is beautifully crafted from soft light beige alpaca mohair, with light beige wool felt paw pads, brown pupil eyes and delicately hand-stitched light brown noses. The bears are fully jointed, although they are securely attached to the wooden display base.

The set retains its original Steiff buttons, attached white ear labels and paper chest tags, providing the distinctive details collectors look for.  The wooden base measures approximately 29 x 10 cm (11½ x 4 inches), making this an impressive yet compact display piece for a cabinet, shelf, collector's room or on an executives' desk!

This example is described as being in mint/perfect condition and comes complete with its certificate of authenticity making it a desirable example for the serious Steiff collector.  The bears are presented in a generic Steiff box.
