A remarkable tribute to one of Steiff’s earliest designs, this 1908 Teddy Bear Replica from 2007 was the very first release in the celebrated Steiff Vintage Series. Expertly crafted to reflect the charm and character of the original, this limited edition piece is No. 967 of just 1,908 worldwide.

Made from high-quality taupe mohair, the bear has been deliberately distressed on the paws to authentically replicate the well-loved appearance of the 1908 original, including characteristic wear and small holes on the front paws. It is traditionally filled with 100% excelsior (wood wool), staying true to early Steiff production methods.

The bear is fully jointed and features hand-stitched detailing, including a black nose, mouth, and claws, along with classic black glass eyes that enhance its vintage appeal. It retains the iconic Steiff 'Button in Ear' tag as well as the front circular chest tag reading “Teddybär 1908 Replica.”

Presented in excellent condition, this piece comes complete with its official certificate and documentation within the original envelope, which shows slight creasing. The original box is also included and remains in very good condition, with only minor creases and light surface marks.
