Steiff Rupert Bear with Sledge Ornament – Limited Edition 

A delightful and highly sought-after Steiff Rupert Bear with Sledge Ornament, released in 2008 as an exclusive edition for the UK and Ireland. Limited to just 1,500 pieces worldwide, this charming miniature is a must-have for both Steiff and Rupert Bear collectors.

Standing approximately 9cm tall, Rupert is expertly handcrafted from luxurious white mohair and is fully jointed, allowing for a variety of display poses. He wears his iconic red knitted jumper, yellow checked trousers, matching scarf and beautifully detailed white lace-up shoes, faithfully capturing the much-loved character.

Rupert Bear, created in 1920, is seated on an attractive miniature wooden sledge, firmly holding the reins, creating a wonderful winter scene inspired by snowy days in Nutwood. Two fine satin ribbons are attached to his head, allowing him to be displayed either as a charming shelf piece or hung as a festive tree or branch ornament.

Finished with Steiff's famous gold-plated Button in Ear, Rupert features beautifully hand-stitched facial details and comes complete with his numbered certificate of authenticity No. 496, original Steiff box and white tag 653537.

Presented in near mint condition, this enchanting limited edition is becoming increasingly difficult to find and would make a superb addition to any Steiff or Rupert Bear collection.
