This charming Steiff Grizzly “Ted” Teddy Bear from 2004 is a sought-after limited edition, No. 1,496 with just 2,000 pieces produced exclusively for the UK and Ireland, making it a desirable addition for collectors.

Beautifully crafted from Caramel Mohair with delicately frosted tips, the bear has a warm, characterful appearance. It features a traditionally shaved snout, expressive brown glass eyes, and a hand-stitched nose and mouth, all showcasing Steiff’s renowned attention to detail. Fully jointed and fitted with a working growler, the bear produces a classic sound when gently tilted.

The bear retains its official Steiff “Button in Ear” with white tag and is presented in excellent condition. It wears a lace collar with a brooch, which is believed to be a later addition rather than original to the piece.

Accompanying the bear is the official certificate and original envelope, which includes neat pencil and ink notation. The original Steiff box with magnetic clasp is also included and remains in very good condition, with only a few light creases.
