This beautiful Steiff Chinese Opera Teddy Bear (White tag 676031) was released in 2003 as a special limited edition of just 1,500 pieces, created exclusively for the Hong Kon, China market. This example is number 219 of 1,500 and remains in Good Plus to Excellent condition.

The bear measures approximately 32 cm /12.5" tall and is crafted from luxurious cream mohair with pale beige felt paw pads. It is fully jointed with flat lower paws for easy posing and features a hand-stitched brown nose and mouth. A traditional Chinese opera mask is securely stitched to the front paws, while the lower paw pad features ornamental embroidered decoration.

One of the bear's standout features is its stunning green and gold satin cloak, beautifully embroidered with an intricate dragon design, perfectly complementing the decorative porcelain Chinese opera mask. The bear retains its white limited edition ear tag with the gold-plated Steiff button in ear.

Included with the bear is the original cream embroidered Steiff drawstring bag and the numbered Certificate of Authenticity. It is presented in a generic Steiff box and comes with its original outer packaging.
