A wonderful and highly collectible Steiff - BALOO, White Tag 680267, released in 2003 as part of the Disney Showcase Collection. Inspired by Disney's much-loved animated adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's classic story The Jungle Book, this beautifully crafted mohair character captures the easy-going, lovable personality of Baloo, Mowgli's loyal friend and companion.

Standing approximately 35cm (14 inches) tall, Baloo is expertly handcrafted from premium mohair and is fully jointed. Steiff has captured his distinctive character beautifully, with carefully airbrushed facial features, expressive large eyes, felt claws, a large, firm tummy and soft suedette paw pads. He is designed as a free-standing character and can be displayed on his original plinth.

This is a strictly limited edition of just 3,000 pieces worldwide, and this particular example is an exceptionally desirable number 13, making it particularly appealing to collectors. He features Steiff's iconic white limited-edition ear tag with the famous Button-in-Ear, together with his original Certificate of Authenticity swing label.

Baloo is presented in mint condition and comes complete with his original display stand and outer presentation box. The box is in good to excellent condition, with some creasing in places, but the overall presentation remains very attractive.
