Merrythought “Rosie” – 1992 Limited Edition No. 152 of 500 Jackie Revitt Mohair Teddy Bear

A wonderfully pretty and highly collectable Merrythought “Rosie” teddy bear from the 1992 Season Limited Edition, designed by renowned British teddy bear artist Jackie Revitt. This charming little bear is number 152 from a strictly limited edition of just 500 pieces. 

Measuring approximately 9 inches (23cm) tall, Rosie is fully jointed and beautifully made from premium cream mini-pile mohair. She has a particularly sweet and delicate expression, with small, bright black eyes and a finely hand-stitched brown nose and mouth. Her pale beige felt paw pads complement her soft cream mohair beautifully.

Rosie is dressed in her charming pale pink and white “Sunday Best” dress, giving her an especially pretty and nostalgic appearance. The dress does have a couple of aged marks to the straps, consistent with her age, but she remains a very attractive example overall.  She is the 'Sister' to our Peter Teddy Bear!

This bear retains her official Merrythought stitched labels together with her original official limited-edition swing tag (slight creasing), confirming her place within the 1992 limited-edition production. She is also accompanied by a signature from former Merrythought director Oliver Holmes, adding an interesting piece of provenance and collector appeal.

Her petite size, soft cream mohair, pretty pink and white dress and wonderfully gentle expression make her particularly charming.  She would make a lovely addition to any collection of British teddy bears, Jackie Revitt designs or limited-edition Merrythought bears.
