MERRYTHOUGHT 'Punkinhead Bear' with Bunny Ears - JP6BBU

The Merrythought Punkinhead Micro Bear with Bunny Ears (JP6BBU) is an exceptionally rare and highly collectible miniature teddy bear, handcrafted in England as part of the prestigious Merrythought Heritage Collection. Measuring approximately 6" tall, this charming micro bear is made from luxurious blue and white mohair and features the distinctive Punkinhead design originally introduced in 1949. It is finished with a white fluffy top knot, an adorable blue bunny ears bonnet, a hand-stitched brown nose and mouth, and fully jointed limbs. Unlike traditional Cheeky bears, this Punkie bear has no bells in its ears.

Released in 2000 as part of Merrythought's Millennium Collection, this sought-after edition was created during the height of the Japanese collector market, when Merrythought's miniature Cheeky and Punkie bears became immensely popular. Many of these exclusive micro bears were produced specifically for luxury Tokyo boutiques and Japanese teddy bear conventions, making them particularly desirable among collectors today.

The bear retains its original gold and black Merrythought woven foot label and comes complete with its official swing tags, still attached in the original protective plastic envelope, along with the original £115 price tag. The model code JP6BBU identifies this bear as part of the Jack-O-Lantern (Punkinhead) series, in the 6-inch micro size, wearing the distinctive Blue Bunny Ears bonnet.  Limited Edition No. 28 of 250.
