A wonderfully rare and highly collectable miniature Merrythought bear, “Master Mischief” (model AK7GD), from the Micro Mischief Teddy Bear Range is a beautifully detailed design by renowned Merrythought artist Jacqueline Revitt. Released during the 1992/1993 season, this tiny bear is number 292 from a limited edition of just 1,000 pieces and is a delightful example of the exceptional craftsmanship found in Merrythought’s miniature character bears.

Measuring approximately 6 inches (15cm) tall, this fully jointed bear is made from luxurious golden mohair and has the classic proportions and expressive character associated with Jacqueline Revitt’s designs. He features bright black button eyes and a carefully hand-stitched black nose and mouth, giving him a wonderfully mischievous expression.

Dressed in beautifully tailored miniature tweed dungarees, this little character is packed with charming detail. His original wooden catapult with felt sling accessory is attached, perfectly complementing his “Mischief” character and adding a wonderful touch of playfulness to the design.

This example retains both sets of his original Merrythought labels, including the stitched labels attached to his body and lower paw pad. His original swing tags of authenticity are also present, unopened and attached, which is particularly desirable for collectors and helps preserve his original presentation.

“Master Mischief”, is an especially interesting Merrythought character as he won the prestigious Toby Teddy Bear of the Year Award in 1992. His award-winning design, miniature scale and limited production make him a particularly sought-after piece for collectors of Merrythought bears.
